magic in miniscule

i really can't believe it's the middle of may. what gets me more, though, is that we're still referring to klee's age in months and not years. and yet, i am acutely aware that this little soul has been in our life forever. it's crazy awesome and not a feeling that i ever want to get used to.

since so much of my time is spent processing the minute details of another human beings existence, i am propelled into a wonderful realm where i can stop to comprehend the beauty of small. of tiny. of, like, nearly microscopic: like her itty bitty toenail on her wee-est of toes.

and who can resist? little people clothes. don't these fun colours hanging out on the laundry line remind you a bit of tibetan prayer flags? and so, i had an unusually sweet moment smiling at their loveliness in our very usually dark & dank basement. enjoy.

  1. I have to admit. I love folding Safi's clothes for this very reason. I live the little-ness of them. I love the tiny leg holes, the little necks, the dainty sleeves. Although the clothes seem to be getting very big lately!!!

  2. lindsay, i can't get over how very special and sweet this time is. it goes by too fast. i'm already nostalgic about her old (but still pretty new) newborn clothes that don't fit anymore. yet soon enough they'll be raiding our closets...
